Shock Radio - Technical Support 2024 

A part of Shock Radio on an ongoing basis to help with tech. 

 

Almost Famous Theatre - Sound Operator 2023 

  • Little Shop of Horrors mixing all 16 of the performers mics live and triggering sound effects according to a cue sheet. 

  • Created sound effects for the show like the sound of thunder, enhancing the drama and emotion of the scenes, resulting in the performance being more immersive and impactful. 

 

Arts Council – Sound Design and Music 2022 - present 

  • Growing arts (Willoughby allotment Boston) Created music intro, outro, jingles and foley sound effects for an allotment Podcast. Working closely with the project manager to achieve the sound and feeling the project manager wanted from the music and sound effects. This resulted in the podcast sounding more professional, with tailored audio to support the Podcast Host. 

  • Creating Spaces (Duke of York Gardens) Created soundscape to be used in sound boxes for an art installation. 

  • Walking Past (Grimsby) Created music to accompany the heritage trail, setting the scene and emotional tone for the walk. Making the history trail more immersive. 

  • Foodbank Project (Community Hub and Newark Road Foodbank, Lincoln) Created music for augmented reality interactive sound installation. Visitors could scan the artwork displayed at the Foodbank with a phone, this would create a 3D image of the artwork and start playing music. Adding a unique interactive aspect to the display and amplifying the emotion of each piece of art. 

 

Mighty Creative Young Empowerment Fund 2021 

  • Support with creating a sound installation as part of the Frequency Festival in Lincoln. 

  • Project management training and a £500 grant to realise the project. 

  • Managing a large group of people and how to solve the issues that arose during the project delivering the sound installation on time. 

  • Six weeks of training in Project Management, Budget, Marketing and Business Management. 

 

Komposit 2020 

  • One of six people selected to compose sheet music for a professional five-piece orchestra. 

  • Managed the project with Anne Whitehead from The Penguin Cafe Orchestra to adapt and realise the piece and record the finished work. 

 

Nature Lab 2018 - present 

  • Helping with running the event, by teaching the visitors different crafts such as kite making, drawing and origami.

  • Helping visitors use equipment, such as microscopes and minibeast identification sheets.

  • Answering questions and keeping children interested. Throughout these events, children would ask what minibeasts they had caught. I would show them the identification sheets and microscopes, explaining how to use them to find the answer. This resulted in the children being enthusiastic to learn more about minibeasts and gave them a sense of accomplishment.

Modules include: Signal Chain Theory, Studio Production, Web Audio, Acoustic Labs, Advanced audio production, Audio production for TV and Radio, and Live sound connections.
